Our February 2019 C2 blog post shed some light on the impending network shutdown of ISDN and PSTN networks, and in the months since more Australian businesses are being faced with the tangible reality of being disconnected. Disconnections began as early as September 2019, and are rapidly increasing; Telstra ISDN revenue declined in FY19 by 17.8% to $387 million (Telstra, August 2019) as Telstra continues their move away from the legacy product. With the services planned for complete decommissioning in September 2022, this leaves a significant number of Australian businesses facing decisions on where, and when to move.
